 Self-Defense—Sport—Way of Life

Course Description

This course emphasizes the development of technical, composition, and presentation skills in one or more martial arts forms. Students acquire and refine self-defense skills; choreograph and present increasingly complex sequences; interpret and evaluate a variety of presentations; and study the historical development of various martial arts styles and their function in specific cultures.
