Course Description

This course emphasizes the development of technical, composition, and presentation skills in one or more martial arts forms. Students acquire and refine self-defense skills; choreograph and present increasingly complex sequences; interpret and evaluate a variety of presentations; and study the historical development of various martial arts styles and their function in specific cultures.

Prerequisite: None
Leads to: ATO 3M1 or ATO 4M1
Rank: White belt (novice) to yellow belt (intermediate)

Course fee: $25 for white or black uniform. None if student already has a uniform.
